It happens to everyone - you work for hours on the perfect layout, only to have it not dry in time and the pages stick together. To make sure your layout is completely dry, you need to have patience and let it air dry for 24 - 48 hours. The benefit to waiting, is that it is easier to add additional layers without re-activating the colors underneath and it limits the amount of paper pilling and tearing.
To speed things up when you don't want to wait, I suggest a hair dryer on the lowest setting. Make sure the heating elements are not close to your art journal page. Then go back and forth with the hair dryer about 1 to 2 inches away from the layout for a few minutes at a time.
You may find your layout still needs more drying time but using a hair dryer should allow enough dry areas so you can use wax paper or 7 mil plastic sheeting between the pages to make sure they don't stick to each other.
Another solution is to have another art journal and/or loose paper project to work on while the first book is drying. Have fun!
